Greg Westmoreland sees patients at the South Austin and Northwest Austin offices of Texas Orthopedics. She accompanied Team Texas to the National 2023 games and actively participates in local events.ĭr. Tammy is an active volunteer with Special Olympics and serves as a Clinical Director for Central Texas. and an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses (NAON). She is also a Registered Nurse First Assist. Tammy brings over 25 years of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in the perioperative setting, 15 of those at Texas Orthopedics and 5 of those as a Nurse Practitioner at the University of Texas Dell Medical School. John’s, Canada and her Masters of Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner degree from South University in Austin, Texas. Tammy Noel is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner who earned her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. Westmoreland has been recognized by as a 2021 Top Doctor. Each fall he provides on-the-field coverage for Regents School of Austin. Westmoreland loves hunting, fishing, and golfing with his family and watching his boys play sports. Westmoreland and his wife Kristi have three teenage sons. Westmoreland recognizes the trust a patient places in him, and he takes great care in walking each patient through the entire process, from pre-operative evaluation through post-operative recovery.ĭr. His goal is to return the patient back to the level of activity they desire. Westmoreland always considers a conservative approach to treatment first. His fellowship training focused on arthroscopic treatment of shoulder and knee problems, as well as shoulder and knee replacement for arthritic conditions.ĭr. In 2001 he completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic where he served as one of the team physicians for the University of Tennessee. Training at Grady Memorial Hospital, a level one trauma center, he gained vast experience in all types of orthopedic fractures and learned valuable lessons in the conservative treatment of orthopedic problems. Westmoreland completed his orthopedic residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000. He then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, graduating first in his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Honor Society, recognizing those who have graduated in the top 10% of their medical school class.ĭr. Westmoreland grew up in the Houston area and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Baylor University with a degree in Biology. He specializes in treating shoulders and knees in addition to general orthopedics.ĭr.
